Argentina

Juan Falú is the director of the Guitarras del mundo musical cycle. He is one of the two architects of the series Maestros del alma. He also collaborated in the creation of the first Higher Career of Folklore and Tango in Buenos Aires, and in 2005 he obtained the Diploma of Merit from the Konex Awards Pablo González Jazey. Graduated from the National University of Tucumán, he received the Fulbright scholarship / National Endowment for the Arts to carry out postgraduate studies in the United States where he obtained the Master of Music in Guitar Performance degree at the Boston Conservatory, Massachusetts. Abel Tesoriere. He was born in Formosa, Argentina, and trained as a self-taught musician. Then he studied with the pianist Diego Esquizi and with the guitarist Carlos Moscardini. Gabriela Battistini is a guitarist and composer. Creator and co-director of the Festival "Listen to you, your body speaks” that gather female musicians in the prevention of breast cancer

Brasil

Director of guitar studies at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and Executive Director of Marlow Guitar International, Dr. Figueiroa is Brazilian from the State of Bahia and is recognized as one of Brazil’s most influential classical guitar performers.

Chile

Luis Orlandini is a Chilean musician with a long international career. He studied at the University of Chile, and afterwards in Colonia, Germany and in Salzburg, Austria. He has performed in important concert halls in Europe, America, Africa and Asia. Currently, along with his active life as a concert performer and member of the Orellana Duo, & Orlandini and the Mosaiko Quartet, he is Professor at the University of Chile, and at the Pontifical Universidad Católica de Chile. http://www.luisorlandini.cl/

Tita Avendaño is a Chilean musician with a long international career. She studied with Eugenia Rodríguez and later in Barcelona with great musicians such as José Ignacio López and Alejandro Civilotti. She has performed in important concert halls in Europe, America, and Asia. Colombia

Colombian/American Classical Guitarist and Composer Nilko Andreas Guarin has been praised as an “electrifying performer for his powerful stage presence and spontaneity that grows irresistible” Backstage New York. Since his Carnegie hall debut in 2009 Nilko Andreas has been captivating audiences in over fifteen countries and three continents as a soloist, Composer and chamber musician performing on such prestigious stages as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Wildthurn Castle in Germany, The Strathmore Hall In Bethesda, Jay Priztker Pavilion in Chicago, Adolfo Mejia Theater in Cartagena, Museum of fine arts in Houston TX, Gandhi Hall in Geneve, Switzerland Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Palacio Foz in Portugal, Unesco Concert Hall in Paris, Surabaya concert Hall In Indonesia, Shenzhen Symphony Hall in China , Museo Belber Gimenez in Oaxaca, Mexico, among others. Costa Rica

Edin Solis is one of most respected Latin America classical guitarist and composers. He studied guitar and music at the University of Costa Rica, Spain and France. He won the National Guitar Contest in Costa Rica and founded the group EDITUS with the violinist Ricardo Ramirez. He has spreaded Costa Rican music to over 30 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Edin has been awarded Two Grammy Awards.

El Salvador

Maikov Alvarez is a Salvadoran guitarist, composer, and educator, who specialized in classical music at the Higher Institute of Arts of Cuba (ISA). He is distinguished for his participation in classical and contemporary music festivals and competitions, and for promoting musical development projects such as PROMUSIKA and the Orquesta Juvenil de Guitarras del Sistema de Coros y Orquestas in El Salvador.

España

Andrea González Caballero has recently obtained a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, and is a laureate of multiple prestigious international guitar competitions, including the “XL International Competition F. Sor” (Rome), and the “XIII Alhambra International Guitar Competition” (Valencia), of which she was the youngest guitarist to receive first prize.

Guatemala

"In addition to the vital and unalterable commitment to the discovery of music and guitar, Joseaugusto Mejía manifests a profoundly Renaissance vocation, which has led him to expand his search for the vast incognito of integrated humanism. Academic achievements are his musical studies in New York, The Hague and London to name a few. He has performed in multiple venues in several countries of America and Europe. His two solo guitar albums make up hybrid compilations, always straddling the interpretive orthodoxy of the established repertoire and his own contributions - as an arranger and transcriber of traditional works of Guatemalan music as well as score collaborations for the film-documentaries ""Los Hijos de Izabal"" and ""Abrazos"".  Currently, he prepares the revision and recording of the monumental guitar work by Joan Manén, as well as an excursion through musical modernism in Latin America."

Honduras

1. Luis Godoy Figueroa: Graduated from the University of Alicante and the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) graduated CUM LAUDE with the title Bachelor of Music with orientation in Guitar 2008-2014. Representative of Honduras and ambassador of classical guitar in activities such as: Workshops / master classes concerts nationally and internationally.

 

2. Ludwin Izaguirre: He began his musical studies at the age of 5 at the hands of his father Edwyn Izaguirre, who introduced him to Jazz. He is currently studying Classical Guitar at the National Music School of Honduras.

 

3. Noelvi Vargas: He started playing the guitar when he was 8 years old. In 2017 he won first place in the Guitar Contest organized by the German Embassy in Honduras, he is currently a Classical Guitar student at the Autonomous University of Honduras.

 

4. Carlos del Cid: Tiene 20 años actualmente cursa la licenciatura en Guitarra Clasica en la Universidad Autonoma de Honduras, sus intereses son la interpretacion, composicion y pedagogia musical.

Panamá

César Ariel Rodríguez Nieto is from Herrera Province, Panama, has a Bachelor's degree in Architecture.  At approximately 12 years of age, he self-taught in the writing of the tenth spinel (Décima panameña), later, at the age of 15 he dabbles as a guitarist for “Canteras de décimas” accompanying to different professional troubadours. In the same way, he plays the violin, in the folk genre, becoming a winner of many national contests.

Paraguay

Mbaraka Trio is a Paraguayan classical guitar group that performs the best of Paraguayan and South American music with a modern and original style, traveling through different soundscapes, combining the traditional with the freshness of new emerging music.
The members of Maraka Trio are Rodrigo Benítez, José Carlos Cabrera and Favio Rodriguez.

Perú

Chano Díaz Límaco is an awarded Peruvian musician and producer who has worked as a session musician and musicalized plays in London, England. He is well-known due to his performance in "Charango" (Andean guitar) and Ayacuchana guitar. He also has co-hosted "Miski Takiy," a folklore music program featured by public television channel TV Peru (2021-2023).

Portugal

Marta Pereira da Costa is the first and only woman to play Portuguese guitar professionally in Fado in the world. While associated with Fado, Marta’s Portuguese guitar risks new sounds and gives the instrument a voice in the world of Jazz, World Music, and Portuguese Music.

Uruguay

The group Guitarreros was born in 2015 from the meeting of four great Uruguayan guitarists. Led by maestro Julio Cobelli, the quartet also includes Nicolás Ibarburu, Guzmán Mendaro and Poly Rodríguez. It plays tangos, waltzes, milongas and candombes, among other native genres. The sound of the quartet reflects the legacy of the guitars of Carlos Gardel, Amalia de La Vega and Alfredo Zitarrosa. Their first CD includes instrumental versions of works by Mastra, Pierri Sapere, Matos Rodriguez and Zitarrosa, among others.
